Our study seeks to better understand how populations of ground-dwelling insects are changing. We know that with a warming climate, some species of insect are getting smaller. And insects are currently experiencing unprecedented declines but ground-dwelling insects are often overlooked in favour of the more noticeable brightly coloured flying insects. We want to increase our knowledge of these important insects so we can better understand how to help them.
